New to Club Volleyball

What is Juniors Volleyball?
Juniors volleyball is competitive travel volleyball.  MVP competes in the new Southeast Alliance Volleyball League.  Top teams from all over the country compete at AAU National Championships in Orlando, FL in June.  Juniors volleyball is commonly called club volleyball.

When are tryouts and how long does the season last?
Tryouts will be in the second half of October.  The season runs from November until May.  Teams may choose to continue their season into June.

What is the time commitment for playing on an MVP team?
Teams will practice for 1-2 hours on two weeknights and 2 hours on Sunday afternoon each week. All of these practices will be in Mt. Pleasant.  Teams will travel to out-of-town tournaments on 5-10 different weekends depending on the age and skill level of the team.  The tournament schedule will be released prior to tryouts.

What are the benefits of playing club volleyball?
Playing for an MVP team is a significant investment of time and money, and it is not for every family.  However, most of our past players are still playing today and cannot wait for the next season to start!  The skills and experience that players gain during the club season cannot be matched, and this is the best way to prepare for playing in high school.  More importantly, the girls gain life-skills and self-confidence during the season that will serve them for the rest of their lives.
